STORY
In January 2016 Craig Pugh and Marcus Hill became the new owners of Compass Coffee, Penarth Marina. They began by sourcing the very best in local and Welsh produce and finding the best staff out there, including David Warner, Aimee Hill, Natalie Morgan & Shaqira Jemmet.
In 2018, due to a trademark nightmare, Compass Coffee had to change its name and chose The Galley as our new name. Since 2016 it has turned into a highly successful and recognised venue both within the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff.

The Galley has fast outgrown its small cafe since winning multiple awards. The Galley currently have many people waiting to come inside to eat and drink on a daily basis. The Galley also has a sun-trap terrace outside which is great for soaking up those rays of sunshine on a warm summer's day. We're also super dog friendly and have a very friendly and welcoming team... In fact, we have the best team in the world!

2018 has been a roller coaster year for us, full of ups and downs. We have won a total of six awards to date, had a break-in and a trademark nightmare.
The Galley heralds the dawn of a new chapter for all of us and the end of an era for Compass Coffee. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through our re-branding.
